Il est encadré par deux étroites arcades aveugles. Le chœur composé de hautes travées sous croisées d'ogives date de la fin du XIIIe siècle, comme la plus grande partie du clocher, refaite à cette époque. Le collatéral nord de la nef a été ajouté au XVIe siècle dans le style Renaissance. Il abrita un temps la sépulture de Catherine d’Archiac, épouse de Galiot de Genouillac, grand maître de l'artillerie sous François Ier.
